Collection Process
Fidelity prides itself on being a “full service” collection agency utilizing a variety of skip tracing and asset locating tools. Our collection process strictly adheres to the guidelines set forth by the FDCPA
- Collection notices sent with applicable federal and state law language
- Credit Bureau reporting
- Calls generated by professionally trained collectors and a cloud-based IVR messaging system
- Our primary goal is to obtain payment in full via secured payment methods such as credit cards and checks by phone
- Payment arrangements secured only after proper negotiation and investigation steps have been taken
- Collector stations interfaced with skip tracing tools that provide additional leads or assets such as employment, updated addresses, real estate ownership, relatives, surnames and landlords
- Collection accounts scrubbed for Bankruptcy and Decease
Legal
Legal representation will be recommended based upon the proper court jurisdiction once all normal collection processes have been exhausted:
- Proper asset information such as employment and/or real estate is located and verified
- Key factors considered: Time on job, wages, type of job and value of real estate
- Management reviews the debtor file to assure all proper collection steps have been completed
- The amount of court costs and balance of account is considered when weighing the value of recommending suit
- Request for litigation is submitted in writing to the client for approval
